Group Hug with the Maestro

Anonymous 16 from Keystone State Boychoir and Pennsylvania Girlchoir sing for Maestro Yannick Nézet-Séguin backstage at Carnegie Hall!

When the KSB and PG singers, waiting backstage at Carnegie Hall in preparation to take the stage with the Philadelphia Orghestra, realized they might catch a minute of Maestro Yannick Nézet-Séguin’s time … they had to be ready with the most perfect serenade – You Are the New Day. A song that both reflected how they felt about the Maestro and his musical future, as well as their own.

Our kids, singing as part of Philadelphia Voices, really wanted to thank Maestro Yannick for being such an inspiration. A member of the Anonymous 16 slipped this note under his dressing room door … to everyone’s delight, the Maestro not only came to hear the A16 sing –  he was so moved that he could only hug the kids and tell them “that he loves [them] so much!”
